Eligible candidates are invited to attend “Walk-in-Interview” for the following posts under various projects under a DBT funded network project “Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional quality” at NBPGR, New Delhi as mentioned below. 
Note: The “Walk-in-Interview” for various posts under DBT funded project has been postponed due to possible threat of novel Corona Virus. Now, the interview will be conducted on 24th April 2020. PROJECT 1: Germplasm genomics for trait discovery 
Name of PI: Dr. Amit Kumar Singh, Dr. Sundeep Kumar 
Project period: March 2020-Feb 2025 
Project Scientist-I (02) 
Rs 56000 +24% HRA 
Essential qualification:Doctoral Degree in Bio-informatics/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Bio-informatics/Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent 
Desirable Qualification: 
I. Experience in analyses of high throughput SNP genotyping, re-sequencing and transcriptomics data 
II. Publications in high impact journals 
Upper age limit: 35 years 
Project Scientist-II (01)
Rs 67000 +24% HRA 

Essential qualification: 
(i) Doctoral Degree in Bio-informatics/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences from a recognized University and 2 
(ii) Three years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services 
Desirable Qualification: 
I. Experience in handling SNP genotyping and NGS data sets using bioinformatics tools and pipelines. 
II. Publications in high impact journals 
Upper age limit: 40 years 
Project Associate-II (02) 
Rs.35000 +24% HRA 
Essential qualification: 
(i) Master’s Degree in Bio-informatics/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences from a recognized University; and 
(ii) 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services 
Note: In case a suitable candidate with 2 years’ experience is not available for Project Associate-II, fresh master degree holder may be recruited as Project Associate-I. 
Desirable Qualification: 
I. Experience in NGS data set handling and analyses using bioinformatics tools 
Upper age limit: 35 years 

Project Assistant (02) 
Rs. 20000 +24% HRA 
Essential qualification: Graduation in Life Sciences 

Desirable Qualification: 
I. Experience in handling office documents, data entry etc. 
Upper age limit: 50 years 
Field worker (01) 
Rs18000 + 24% HRA 
Essential qualification:Graduate degree in any discipline 
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Microsoft office 
Upper age limit: 50 years 
PROJECT 2: Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional quality -Coordination Unit 3 
Name of PI: Dr. Sundeep Kumar 
Project period: March 2020-Feb 2025 
Project Associate-I (01) 
Rs.31000 +24% HRA for first 2 years and Project Associate-II Rs. 35000 + 24% HRA for 3rd year onward 
Essential qualification: 
(i) Master’s Degree in Management/Life Sciences from a recognized University and 
Desirable Qualification: 
I. Experience in analyses of biological data sets Upper age limit: 35 years 
Project Assistant (01) Rs. 20000+24% HRA
Essential Qualification:Graduation in Life Sciences 
Desirable Qualification: 
I. Experience in handling office documents, data entry etc. 
Upper age limit: 50 years
